Ghattamaneni Mahesh babu is one of the reputed heros in the present Tollywood field.He is popularly known as Prince Mahesh Babu.He was born on 9th August 1774 to the famous actor Ghattamaneni Krishna in Chennai.Mahesh BabuMahesh Babu's elder brother's name is Ramesh.His two elder sisters are Padmavathi and Manjula.His younger sister is Priyadarshini.Mahesh Babu done his schooling at St Bede’s School in Chennai.He obtained degree from Loyola College,chennai in the field of Commerce.

Ghattamaneni Mahesh babu made his entry into Tollywood by the film Rajakumarudu for which he got nandi award for best male debut.Later in 2000 he did Yuvaraju and Vamsi which are average films in his career.In 2001,Murari is a Super hit film for him and he got Nandi award for special Jury.He again got award in 2002 for the movie Takkari Donga.In 2003 he again got nandi award for the movie Nijam and Filmfare for the movie Okkadu.

Ghattamaneni Mahesh babu got nandi award for his role in Nijam.Later he did two Blockbuster movies Athadu and Pokiri in 2005 and 2006.Pokiri was a 50 year record breaking movie in Tollywood.Later Sainikudu was a flop but the next movie Athidi was an average.The upcoming movie of Mahesh Babu is Varudu in which he is acting as a Taxi driver.
