EBC Scholarships Latest Updates and EBC Scholarships G.O.

A new G.O. is passed by the government of Andhra Pradesh in september, 2010 regarding EBC Scholarships.According to this G.O. the government agreed to the pay the tuition fee of the EBC Scholarship holders in two installments.But the government did not say that when it is going to pay the fee, that is in which months.Though the students all over the state are doing agitations for EBC Scholarships the government of Andhra Pradesh is not caring them and instead it ordered police to take action against the one who do agitations for EBC Scholarships.The college managements are forcing the students to pay the fee.The college managements are also facing problems by the administration of government regarding EBC Scholarships.The colleges are saying that how can they run the institutions without money.So we have no other way to ask the students if the government delay in releasing EBC Scholarships.This is present worst situation of EBC Scholarships.Bandhs are conducted by the students for EBC Scholarships many times but its of no use.

EBC Scholarships for MEDICINE

Coming to the G.O. of the government regarding EBC Scholarships, the government mentioned that EBC Scholarships in medicine are applicable only to the medicine 'B' Category scheduled castes (SC) and scheduled tribes (ST).All the other backward caste (BC), economically backward caste (EBC), minority and physically handicapped students have to pay an amount of 2.4 lakhs per year in medicine.This will be a big loss to the talented students who are financially challenged and could not pay the fee.There are many cases in which many students could not go for studies due to lack of money.But after Y.S.Rajashekar introduced this EBC Scholarships scheme many poor students got hope that they too can become doctors and engineers.But all those hopes are gone for the EBC Scholarship students.

EBC Scholarships for Self Finance Courses

The G.O. also restricted the EBC Scholarships for the self finance students by applying the EBC Scholarships scheme to only certain limited courses in self finance.Only top courses in self finance come under this EBC Scholarships scheme according to this G.O.The self finance courses like hotel management course, paramedical course and a number of courses which come under AFRC may not come under EBC Scholarships scheme according to this G.O..Due to this a number of students who come under EBC Scholarship scheme will not be paid fee for self finance courses.

New Conditions in EBC Scholarships

The government of Andhra Pradesh is enforcing new conditions for EBC Scholarships for the eligibility of the student.If student attendance is less than 75% then he is not eligible for EBC Scholarships.The student is eligible for EBC Scholarships only if he is promoted into next year.The students whose whole house income is below 1 lakh are only eligible for EBC Scholarships.Like this the government is enforcing many conditions for EBC Scholarships.Even it became very strict in issuing income certificate.
