Hyderabad is one of the important city for business and political aspects for Andhra Pradesh and also to whole country. Hyderabad was no where on the world map before few decades. But later with the advent of IT revolution, Hyderabad gave a stiff competition to the so called IT hub Bangalore. Later development took place in the city with a rapid pace from all kinds of Industries showing interest. There are many advantages for this "Bhagya Nagaram" when compared to other metros. Hyderabad is situated at a good location which is accessible to all the parts of the Country. Transportation is very good in all the ways, Hyderabad`s airport is one of the biggest and busiest in Asia. Many majors in IT sector right from Microsoft, Google to the latest youth icon Facebook have their development centers in this city. This is all because of the reputation that has been acquired by this city so far. Telangana Issue - Impact on Hyderabad
Telangana Issue is now in full swing with many leaders of various political parties demanding for it. Whether it may be a genuine reason or some sort of Political drama, many parties are organizing various Bandhs and riots on streets of this capital city.As many Multi-National Companies (MNC) have their development units here they are facing severe problem with the Bandhs and riots that has been taking place in the recent past. If a bandh takes place and employees fail to reach their offices, it may cost a fortune for most of the firms that are staying in the city and maintaining operation for many parts of the world. Even though they may have several risk management plans loss will be a loss, whether it may be a huge sum or a few hundreds of thousands. But this became the major fear for many of the firms which desired to step in Hyderabad. They are planning to move for the competitor cities like Chennai and Bangalore. Recently Zindal group made a move to Sri Perambadur near Chennai which at first planned to start their new firm in the city. This is just a small examples there are many waiting in the pipeline. But there is a valid reason for these companies and industries to make a move, they cannot run their firms at the cost of revenue.
Is Hyderabad losing Hospitality and Transportation Business ?
Hyderabad along with it's business and commercial attractions possess another attraction i.e. Tourism. Most of the revenue will be for the Tourism sector and it's associates Hospitality and Transport sectors. Now, there is a severe drop in the revenue for these so called ever green sectors which they even didn't see at the time of recession. Tourists are dropping their plans and schedules to visit the city for holidays due to the fear of Strikes. Companies are afraid to Schedule their meetings and conferences in the city due to the same. Even one of the commercial transportation sector, Bus transport by private travels is facing a severe loss from the city. Many services are getting cancelled due to the fear of strikes at times. We may face a situation where many industries make a move from Hyderabad and find a space in some other Metro or Tier - II cities.
It will be far better for the Government to take a quick move on Telangana Issue so that it can save the Business and Commercial infrastructure of the Hyderabad and can acquire revenue from the same.
