APSSC invites applications for recruitment to the post of Lecturers in Government in A.P. Service having Post Code-01 to 25 for filling 656 Vacancies. The required age as on 1st September 2011 should be Minimum 18 years & Maximum 36 years. The sacle of pay is Rs/- 8,000-13,500
Required Educational Qualifications for APSSC 2012 Recruitment of Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges in A.P. Education Service
Applicants must possess the qualifications from a recognized University as detailed below or equivalent:
Good academic record with a minimum of 55% of the marks or an equivalent Grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Masters Degree level, in the relevant subject, obtained from the Universities recognized in India.
Should have passed National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC or SLET conducted by the APPSC
- A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided, from (55% to 50% of marks) at the Master's Level for the SC/ST/PH category.
- A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided, (from 55% to 50% of marks) to the Ph.D., Degree holder who have passed their Master's Degree prior to 19.09.1991.
- NET/SLET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges
Relaxation allowed in Age Limit for APSSC 2012 Recruitment of Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges in A.P. Education Service
There is a relaxation of 3 Years for Retrenched temporary employees in the State Census Department with a minimum service of 6 months.
There is a relaxation of 5 Years based on the length of regular service for A.P. State Government Employees (Employees of APSEB, APSRTC, Corporations, Municipalities etc. are not eligible).
There is a relaxation of 3 years & length of service rendered in the armed forces. for Ex-Service men.
There is a relaxation of 3 Years & length of service rendered in the N.C.C for N.C.C.(who have worked as Instructor in N.C.C.)
There is a relaxation of 5 Years for SC/ST and BCs
There is a relaxation of 10 Years for Physically Handicapped persons (OH only).
How to Apply for APSSC 2012 Recruitment of Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges in A.P. Education Service
Each applicant must pay Application Processing Fee of Rs. 100/- and Examination Fee of Rs. 120/- (if Candidates are not exempted from payment of Fee). Payment of Rs. 100/- towards application processing fee is compulsory for all Applicants.
The Candidate has to go to the www.apspsc.gov.in and enter his/her Basic Personal Details like Name, Father's Name, Date of Birth, and Community.
After entering the above details the applicant will get a downloadable Challan Form to pay the Fees.
The Applicant should pay the prescribed Fee at any AP Online centers /State Bank of India and obtain the Journal Number without fail.
On the next day after payment of Fee the Candidate should again visit www.apspsc.gov.in and enter the Journal Number to get the format of Application/
The applicant has to fill all the columns in the Application and should submit ON-Line.
Only applicants willing to serve anywhere in the Andhra Pradesh should apply.
Selection Procedure for APSSC 2012 Recruitment of Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges in A.P. Education Service
The selection of candidates for appointment to the posts will be made by written examination (objective type) and Oral Test in the shape of Interview only for those qualified as per Rules for eligible candidates.
The final selection of these posts will be based on the Written Examination and Oral Test marks put together.
The minimum qualifying marks for selection are OCs 40%, BCs 35% SCs, STs and PHs 30% or as per rules. The minimum qualifying marks are relaxable in the case of SC/ST/BC/PH on the discretion of the Commission.
The candidates will be selected and allotted to Service/ Department as per their rank in the merit list and as per zonal preference for allotment of candidates against vacancies and for the vacancies available.
The appearance in all the papers at the Written Examination as per rules is compulsory. Absence in any of the papers will automatically render his candidature as disqualified.
Mere securing minimum qualifying marks does not vest any right in a candidate for being considered for selection.
Candidates have to produce Original documents and other particulars on the day of verification date itself for verification as and when required and called for.
The appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit in the appropriate medical classification, and if he/she is of sound health, active habits free from any bodily defect or infirmity.
Pattern of Written Examination (Objective Type) and Oral Test for APSSC 2012 Recruitment of Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges in A.P. Education Service
PART-A: Written 'Examination (Objective Type):
Paper-1: General Studies:150 Questions to be solved in 150 minutes carrying Total 150 marks
Paper-2: Concerned Subject (One only):150 Questions to be solved in 150 minutes carrying Total 300 marks
PART-B: Interview (Oral Test)
The Oral Test carries Total 50 marks
Total Marks:500 Marks
